1. Messages
A new member from the Nygaard building needs to be chosen after the retirement of Gudmund Frandsen.
It is now a requirement for the department to have a Sustainability Committee. It was suggested that it could be included as a part of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, but it was decided that it would be better to have it as a separate committee, possibly including students and as a part of the new building project, so that new initiatives can be included in the building plans.
2. Status of the WPA action plans - are there still things that have not been done?
Last touches are being made to the VIP action plan, Olav is in discussions with HR regarding including an item on the agenda at the retreat about stress and effective communication. The action plan will be concluded after the retreat and on receipt of the report from Kaj.
The action plans for fastTAP, PhD, and Postdocs have been finished.
Some people have requested a fire drill taking place. This will be arranged soon.
Evacuation plans will be uploaded to the website.
The information screens have had info about the department’s defibrillators in the recent past.
It was decided that extra information screens will be bought for the break room and the Nygaard building to make the information more accessible to all.
3. The yearly workplace environment discussion
The documents for the yearly workplace environment discussions will be made accessible online.
Signs at the evacuation meeting points outside will be put up as soon as possible.
An evacuation drill will be arranged soon.
The document was approved with the above changes.
4. Issues regarding students pertaining to work environment
It is a problem that students are not included in the inspection rounds of the rooms mostly used by them.
It was decided that students will be included from now on, DSAU will be contacted regarding Regnecentralen and SOFA regarding the labs.
5. Student observer in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee
Including students in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee as observers was proposed. It was decided that workers in the labs could be invited to the meetings when relevant.
It was also decided that the Lab Committee would be renamed Lab and Work Environment Committee, so that possible work environment issues could be included in the meetings.
6. AOB
A wish for more waste separation was expressed. It was decided that bins for batteries and smaller electronics would be put up in the printer room (Pædagogisk Værksted) in Ada-122 with a guide to disposing of larger electronic items posted on the bin for smaller electronics.
