Welcome to Our New Bachelor's Students
Today, applicants to higher education programmes across Denmark received their admission results. We are looking forward to welcoming 182 new bachelor's students across our four bachelor's programmes when the academic year begins on August 24.
"We are delighted to welcome all our new students to the department. They are joining an international and research-driven environment where they will learn to develop the technologies that shape our society – from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to human-computer interaction and advanced software systems," says Head of Department Kaj Grønbæk.
Strong Interest in the International Programmes
This year, we have once again seen overwhelming interest in our English-taught bachelor's programmes, Computer Science and IT Product Development. Just one year after welcoming their first students, Computer Science has achieved the highest admission GPA in Denmark: 11.4.
Unfortunately, we are only able to offer admission to a small fraction of the many highly qualified applicants to our international bachelor's programmes.
We are incredibly grateful for the interest shown by applicants from around the world and are proud that Aarhus University and the Department of Computer Science continue to attract so many talented international students. We hope many of those who were not offered admission this year will consider returning to Denmark for a master's degree or future collaborations.
Remember to Accept Your Offer
Applicants who have received an offer of admission must confirm their place no later than August 3.
There are still open seats on our Danish-taught bachelor's programmes in Datalogi and IT-Produktudvikling. Read more about second-round admissions here: https://bachelor.au.dk/optagelse/ansoegning/ledigepladser. The deadline for second-round applications is August 3.
