Unlocking Innovation: The Alexandra Institute's Impact on AI, Spatial Computing, digital Infrastructures, and digital life science

Abstract

The Alexandra Institute is a Danish Research and Technology Organisation (GTS institute) located in Aarhus and Copenhagen. We work with applied research and innovation of software and IT.

This presentation will give an introduction to Alexandra and some of the main research themes that we are currently focusing on: AI foundation and AI in practice, spatial computing and next generation user interfaces, Resilient digital infrastructures including dataspaces and quantum computing and digital life science.

The presentation will give an example of industrial innovation projects about data driven digital twins and illustrate how several digital technologies can be applied in practice. This example will also draw on several projects where Alexandra has cooperated with universities in different research projects and the benefits of this type of research collaboration.
