Special talk by Mark Simkin on Efficient and Secure Distributed Systems
Title: Efficient and Secure Distributed Systems
Abstract:
Over the past decade, cryptocurrencies have evolved from niche experiments to globally distributed systems securing hundreds of billions of dollars in value.
As their adoption grows, so do the challenges of maintaining security and scalability in the face of increasing demand.
In this talk, I will explore the fundamental obstacles these systems encounter, highlight research progress that addresses some of these issues, and discuss open research questions that currently remain unsolved.
