New Deputy Head of Education
Professor Marianne Graves Petersen has been appointed Deputy Head of Education. Marianne brings both experience and dedication to the role, combined with an in-depth knowledge of the department’s study programs. With this appointment, the department's management team now consists of Marianne, Head of Department Kaj Grønbæk, Deputy Head of Research Anders Møller, and Head of Secretariat Lene Hjøllund.

Marianne has been a driving force in the development of the department's study programmes for many years. As a co-initiator of the IT Product Development programme in 2007 and as programme director since 2019, she has played a central role in shaping and advancing the department's educational offerings. She is therefore an obvious choice for the role of Deputy Head of Education.
Marianne is looking forward to her new role: “I am proud and grateful to contribute to further developing our study programmes, which already maintain an incredibly high standard. As part of the management team, I look forward to working closely with our talented researchers and students to ensure that we continue to produce the best graduates for the digital society of the future. Furthermore, I am eager to see how, through our educational initiatives as well as our research, we can address the major educational challenges related to digital competences that society is currently facing.”
Head of Department Kaj Grønbæk also looks forward to the collaboration, and highlights Marianne's importance to the department's study programmes: “Marianne is passionate about developing new educational formats – for instance, she conducts research on creating digital technology competency courses for primary and lower secondary schools as well as high schools. She has an in-depth understanding of the department’s programmes as well as the challenges and opportunities facing students in the future. Her experience and dedication are a tremendous asset to the department's leadership.”
As Deputy Head of Education, Marianne will be responsible for ensuring the continued development and quality of the department's study programmes. She will work to create an inspiring and inclusive study environment that attracts the most talented students from Denmark and abroad.
