New associate professor

Congratulations to Magnus Madsen who is promoted to associate professor. Magnus has received excellent reviews for both his research contributions and publications. Magnus Madsen’s main area of research is programming languages, and he is the lead designer of Flix - a new functional, imperative, and logic programming language. For this work he received the junior AITO Dahl-Nygaard Prize during ECOOP 2022.

Magnus is also very involved in education. He teaches in the master's course Program Analysis and has been involved in developing and running the department's programming café - a supplementary teaching offer for first-year students in computer science and IT Product Development.
