Data-Intensive Systems have five papers accepted at VLDB 2023
Congratulations to researchers from the Data-Intensive Systems group. This year, the research associate professor Panagiotis Karras has done with PhD students, research assistants, visiting PhD students, and other collaborators has led to the acceptance of five papers at the prestigious VLDB conference, which will be published in VLDB conference proceedings (PVLDB Volume 16).
The international VLDB (Very Large Data Bases) conference is one of the most prestigious conferences in the field of data management. VLDB serves as a premier forum for researchers to present their latest findings, methodologies, and techniques, while also facilitating discussions with practitioners and industry experts on emerging challenges and advancements on how we store, process, utilize, and derive insights from vast amounts of data.
PhD students Konstantinos Skitsas, Kasper O. Mortensen, and Fatemeh Zardbani, research assistant Dinos Lampropoulos, and visitor Siyuan Wu will be presenting the papers at the VLDB conference in Vancouver from August 27 to September 2.
The five accepted papers are:
- SIFTER: Space-Efficient Value Iteration for Finite-Horizon MDPs.
Konstantinos Skitsas, Ioannis G. Papageorgiou, Mohammad Sadegh Talebi, Verena Kantere, Michael N. Katehakis, and Panagiotis Karras.
