2025 Theory of Cryptography Conference
Last week, our Cryptography and Cybersecurity section hosted the 2025 Theory of Cryptography Conference (TCC 2025) – an area conference of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR). 181 researchers from around the world gathered in Aarhus to dive into the latest advances in theoretical cryptography: the concepts, paradigms, and techniques that form the backbone of secure digital systems.
The technical programme took place in Helsingør Theater, a historic theatre inaugurated in 1817 and now located inside the open-air museum Den Gamle By. Bringing cutting-edge cryptographic research into a centuries-old setting sparked a wonderful contrast between the past and the future.

A huge thank you to our organising team: Claudio Orlandi, Sophia Yakoubov, and Peter Scholl! Also, thank you to Malene B. B. Andersen and Vibe Falkenhart Røn for making everything run smoothly for all participants.
We’re proud to help foster a space where the world’s leading cryptographers come together to secure tomorrow’s digital society.
