16-year-old in feature article: IT-courses in elementary schools are a must
"If we as a society are to come out stronger on the other side of the digital revolution, we must make sure that young people are equipped to live in a digital world ". These are the words from 16-year-old public school student and programmer William Kattrup in the Danish newspaper Børsen (only in Danish).
At Department of Computer Science, we are also noticing a growing interest of digital learning. This spring, 24 high school teachers are studying programming at the department in a special course for teachers. The course is set up to prepare them for teaching the new course “Informatics”, which will be introduced at Danish high schools in the next academic year.
