Stinna Danger Wins the UR/MiR Scholarship 2025

We are incredibly proud to share that Computer Science master’s student Stinna Danger has been awarded the UR/MiR Scholarship 2025, which recognizes outstanding women in tech who serve as role models and contribute to greater diversity in the field.

Stinna’s journey into tech has been anything but conventional - combining her passions for mathematics, nature, and art, she has found her niche in using AI and data science to monitor biodiversity and protect wildlife. Currently collaborating with Department of Ecoscience on her master’s thesis, Stinna applies AI to track and analyze insect populations, demonstrating how technology can drive meaningful environmental impact.

The award committee highlighted Stinna’s unique ability to bridge disciplines, blending creativity, ecology, and computer science to develop innovative solutions. Her work in data visualization not only makes complex data more accessible but also empowers researchers and decision-makers to take action.

Beyond her academic achievements, Stinna is a dedicated advocate for diversity in tech. Through her involvement in IT-landsholdet and the department’s outreach programs, she actively inspires young women to pursue careers in technology, proving that the field is for everyone—regardless of background or interests.

Congratulations, Stinna 🎉
