Wednesday, Rector at Aarhus University Brian Bech Nielsen visited the Department of Computer Science to talk about the university’s development, visions and challenges.

Professor Ivan Damgaard has been awarded the honourable Order of the Dannebrog by HM Queen Margrethe II.

In the newly released Higher Education World University Rankings by the The Times, Aarhus University moves into the top 100 (as number 98) and becomes the best university in Denmark.

Eve Hoggan, 34, is employed as a new associate professor at Department of Computer Science. She will also take part in Center for Participatory IT (PIT).

In the last two months several new PhD students have enrolled at Department of Computer Science. In the next couple of years, they will undertake research in research areas such as “Algorithms and Data Structures”, “Computer Mediated Activity” and “Cryptography and Security” - just to name a few.

Mads Møller Jensen, former PhD student now postdoc at CS, is among eight researchers who will have just four minutes to persuade the audience that he is the best to communicate his research at the Hearts & Mind festival on Saturday, September 24, 19:00-22:00, at KaserneScenen.
