2. Status of the finances
The lack of an open recruitment call this year has enabled the department to save the necessary money in the Natural Sciences downsizing.

The TAP team has had some growth, and a new Teaching Associate Professor has been hired.

The intake on the Bachelor in Computer Science has experienced a drop this year. The Master in Computer Science is almost the same as last year because of a record 75% increase in international students. The intake on IT Product Development is much the same as last year. There has been an increase in students taking a supplementary subject.

External grants have been very successful with an average of 2 million kroner granted per VIP.

3. MitHR and Staff Development Dialogue (SDD)

New dialogue guides for the SDD have been made accessible by HR. The guides are crafted as online questionnaires, where the answers will be accessible to the employee and the supervisor conducting the SDD in MitHR. These will be used for all VIP employees at the department this year.

4. Career dialogue
A pilot project involving a new career development plan for fixed-term scientific staff is being conducted at MATH and GEO in collaboration with the department heads.

It is unknown when the career development plan will make its way to the other departments. The career development plan was discussed in the group. Concerns were voiced on both sides of the discussion. The pilot project will conclude at Christmas this year.
