150 poeple from all over the world attends TPMPC conference

This week, 150 researchers, students and experts within the field of MPC Technology visit the Department for the annual ‘Theory and Practice of Multiparty Computation 2018’ conference, where leading researchers will present their latest results in secure computation.

Meet our new data visualization expert

On May 1, Hans-Jörg Schulz started as Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science. He joins the Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction group, but expects to have close co-operation with both Computer Mediated Activity and Data-Intensive Systems. With his expertise, he hopes to contribute to the research activities in these groups.

Large grant for Ass. Professor Bas Spitters

Associate professor Bas Spitters has received a grant of DKK 3.4 million from Air Force Office of Scientific Research. Som traditionen foreskriver, så blev vinderne af årets CS Award uddelt, da der fredag var Computer Science Day. Priserne for årets underviser, årets undervisningsassistent og årets studerende blev alle uddelt.

Nominees for teacher of the year!

Five teachers are nominated for Teacher of the Year. In a vote the students will name the winner, who will be announced at Computer Science Day on May 18. The nominees are; Anders Møller, Eve Hoggan, Henrik Bærbak Christensen, Kasper Green Larsen and Kurt Jensen. Congratulations!

Well-attended Alumni Day

More than 1,300 former students (230+ at Computer Science!) and employees visited their former academic environment on Thursday 5 April to see old fellow students and teachers, to attend presentations of the latest research within their fields of expertise, and to tour the laboratories and see new research facilities.

Massiv interesse for årets karrieredag

Deltagerne måtte stå langs væggene, mens one minute madness løb af stablen i Peter Bøgh Auditoriet i IT-byen på Katrinebjerg. 53 virksomheder havde i år meldt deres ankomst, da Institut for datalogi ved Aarhus Universitet slog dørene op til årets karrieredag.
