QS ranking: AU has the only Danish Computer Science department in top 100

The 2020 QS World University subject rankings are now available, and once again, Aarhus University marks itself as a top university. The QS subject ranking, ranks the department as the best Computer Science Department in Denmark, and second-best in Scandinavia, only surpassed by KTH Royal Institute of technology in Sweden.

 “I am both happy and proud of the 2020 QS ranking, which clearly underlines the international strength and significance of the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University,” says Head of Department Kaj Grønbæk, and continues, “We have a growing team of world-class researchers, who work on cutting-edge research and innovation, while also teaching our two programs (bachelor and master level) in Computer Science and IT-Product Development. The top 100 ranking is an acknowledgement and appreciation of my colleagues’ hard work and dedication, and it motivates us to strive even higher in the future.”

The QS ranking covers 48 subject areas, of which the department is included in the “Computer Science and Information Systems” listing. This year, only two departments from Scandinavia made it to top 100. The Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University is the only Danish university in top 100, and has the second-best ranking among Scandinavian universities.
