1. Messages from the chairman
A new law requiring time registration for all state employees is on its way. It is not known how it will be implemented locally yet.

The project goals for 2023 have been achieved and the economy for 2024 looks good. A new economy model is coming, this was mentioned at the last faculty meeting.

The open call has yielded many qualified candidates, primarily tenure track candidates. The interview process is under way with the expectation of hiring 4 new employees.

The building projects are on hold pending clarification. A lot of issues must be researched before continuing, which will hopefully be done by March.

A collective agreement for state employees has been reached and is available online.

2. Salary negotiations
Some of the procedures have changed since MitHR has been implemented. Kaj has sent out emails regarding the procedures. Once again, the department has 0.5% of the current salaries to distribute for pay increases.

Pay criteria can be found on the employee website.

3. Sustainability Committee
It was decided that the Sustainability Committee will be an offshoot of LSU. Lene will send out an email to the entire department looking for volunteers.

4. Appointment of LSU members
It was decided that there should be two new members from the junior level of the department.

5. AOB
A group of PhD’s have arranged a Sports Day for the department, which will be taking place at AU Motion/Firmasport on May 22.

It was suggested that a teaching buddy be assigned to all newly hired employees who will be teaching. Currently each group is handling it differently.
