Services provided by the student assistants

The student assistants are operating in following buildings: Ada, Hopper, Turing, Babbage, Zuse, Shannon Codd, Stibitz and IT house.

Daily Tasks:

  • Distribution of mail
  • Filling the coffee machine in the coffee room
  • Emptying the dishwasher in the coffee room
  • Make copies for the accounting staff at Ada-1
  • Table arrangements in connection with meetings
  • Clearing tables in connection with meetings
  • Miscellaneous purchase assignments at Storcenter Nord
  • Cleaning Alexandra's kitchen

Fixed weekly tasks:

Monday:

  • Buy milk for Alexandra
  • Check the internal premises for tea towels, dishes, mugs, tea, sugar, board markers, board erasers, distributing toner for printers and removing the old posters from the bulletin boards

Tuesday:

  • Cleaning the coffee machines in the coffee room
  • Collecting tableware from caterers in Ada, Hopper and Turing
  • Descale kettles

Wednesday:

  • Buy milk for Alexandra
  • Check the external premises for tea towels, dishes, mugs, board markers, board erasers, distributing toner for printers and removing the old posters from the bulletin boards
  • Watering flowers at Babbage-1

Thursday:

  • Emptying the recycling boxes at Ada-1 (all) and Hopper-3 (accounting staff)
  • Filling up office supplies in copy room
  • Shopping for the student café on Friday

Friday:

  • Cleaning the coffee machines in the coffee room
  • Remove old newspapers from Alexandra's kitchen
  • Buy water for Alexandra
  • Take supplies for the student café to Shannon

Other:

  • Special assignments are accepted if you ask politely
  • Cleaning refrigerators

 

Tasks outside normal working hours if the student assistants are up to it:

  • Bartending at parties
  • Cleaning after parties

 

NB!!!

The task of distributing the paper to the external buildings (Zuse, Shannon Codd, Stibitz and IT-house) is no longer taken care of by the student assistants. Instead paper can be collected in the mail room, Ada-114, when the printers run out.
