Section Managers
The administration at the Department of Computer Science consists of a number of Section Managers, located in the research environment of the respective research groups. By default, the Section Manager is your single point of contact in all administrative matters. Single point of contact means that your Section Manager - without compromising on quality - redirects the tasks that should be solved by the central administration at AU to the right person. The tasks that should be solved locally at the department will be solved by your Section Manager or by one of our specialists.
Some of the tasks your section manager can help you with:
Text edit and review
- Translation Danish-English / English-Danish
- Proofreading in Danish and English
Events
- Planning and carrying out workshops, conferences and retreats
- Event setup management (accommodation, social events, transportation, etc.)
- Establishing and maintaining web pages
- Establishing online booking system in AU webshop
- Online evaluation in SurveyXact
- Photography
Guests
- Coordinate travel and stay
- Help obtaining visa
- Guest offices
HR
- Contact person for guests and new employees in the research groups regarding administrative and practical matters - before and after arrival
- Help obtaining visa for guests and for CS employees when traveling abroad
Office decoration
- Purchasing new furniture
- Supplying offices with furniture, shelves, pictures etc. from storeroom
Purchase for the research group
- Information about account & project number
- Guidance within the rules for purchasing (where to buy, representation expenses etc.)
Research applications
- Coordination of the application / gather attachments etc.
- Proofreading /checking the application
- Cooperate with Research Support Office on budget for application
Traveling
- Travel and hotel booking
- Information about insurance and CWT booking system
- Reimbursements from traveling
- More information about traveling
